Level regestriruemoy unemployment rate was in late 1996 – early 1997, only 3,4%, but the main thing, in my opinion, to change the overall dynamics of unemployment. 1996 shows a clear tendency toward stabilization, which is clearly visible in the last 6 months.
In most regions, with the critical situation in the labor market scale layoffs from large and medium-sized enterprises exceeds srednerosiysky level 1,5-2 times. In 1,5 times – Vladimir and Ivanovo region, and 2 times – Dagestan, Mari El, Ingushetia, the Arkhangelsk region.
In these regions intensified competition in labor markets – in Kalmykia on a workplace claim 470 people in Ingushetia – 415, in Ivanovo – 190, while the Russian Federation.
Surprisingly, for some researchers the problems of female labor will be the fact that half of these crisis areas in 1996, unemployment was considered more men (20%) than russian women. In the Ivanovo region, this figure was even almost 40%. (more…)
